Grandfather clocks

I love grandfather clocks.  Ever since I can remember, I’ve been drawn to every grandfather clock I’ve laid my eyes on.  I really don’t understand my attraction to them, but there it is!  Most of the time when I’ve seen a grandfather clock, they have been treated as a focal point in a “special” room where children were really allowed to spend any unsupervised time in.  Maybe that has something to do with the attraction, maybe somewhere deep inside me has been ingrained the thought that if I was in the room with a grandfather clock, it meant it was a huge special family occasion like Christmas or Thanksgiving or Easter or a birthday!

I’ve always wanted a grandfather clock.  I’m not sure if I would put it in my living room, or my foyer, there is space for one in either place.  Maybe one day I’ll have two of them, one in each spot!  That would be really wonderful!

I enjoyed reading about using clocks to decorate your house.   For my living room I’d really like to get a grandfather clock that has space inside it to put some of my curios.  I have a large selection of curios!
