Upgrading to something better

Posted by Monica 30 November 2007

Decided to upgrade my Wordpress today after seeing all the new features the new version has, such as widgets and being able to tag posts instead of having to put them into catagories.

I am up in the air about changing the theme, and it something I may do soon. Finding the perfect theme is something I may just have to create myself, since there is nothing in the Wordpress theme directory that catches my eye. They are all too manly or too business-like. I want something whimsical and fun! If it’s not too hard, I might be able to make several and post mine on the directory to share.

The dreaded Black Friday

Posted by Monica 23 November 2007

Just got back from the mall and what was probably one of the wildest shopping days I have ever had. So many people were at the mall and Walmart we had to park almost a half mile away at both places. The checkout lines were so long I got to read one of the magazine on the rack all the way through.

Next year I am waiting till Saturday to do my shopping, because going to stores when there are so many people just plain sucks. I’m all for saving many and having fun shopping, but this was not fun to me.

That time of the year again

Posted by Monica 21 November 2007

Have been waiting for Thanksgiving to roll around this year. My family gets together every year and all the women cook enough food for an army and all the men get together and tell stories of this years events. The kids run around and play games, and the newest editions to the family all are seen.

A lot of good times around here these coming days, and I have a lot to be thankful for, that’s for sure. I am dreading the Friday to come though, more commonly known as “Black Friday,” because everyone in America seems to go out and shop this day to get in on all the deals the stores have to start off the Christmas selling season.

Anyways, I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving.
