One of my brothers is a member of the Masons, and I have been encouraging my hubby to join the Masons too.  Since we are new to the area I think that joining an organization like that is a good way to meet new people, make new friends, and start a social life.  So my hubby has been talking to my brother about joining the Masons, at my encouragement.  I hope he does it!

I think that my hubby and I should talk to his mother about investing in one of the many Lift Chairs that are on the market now.  I’d like to see her get one that has heat and massage options.  As she is getting older her arthritis is bothering her more and she is having trouble getting into and out of her chair.  I think that a lift chair would be of great value to her.

My mother in law is eight years old, and her health is slowly deteriorating.  She has arthritis and COPD.  She has to be on oxygen 24/7 and has to hook herself up to a special machine at night that keeps her from dying in her sleep (I think it is for sleep apnea.)  Anyway, it is difficult to see her health failing as she ages.  It is getting harder for her to get around; when we go out she has to use a wheelchair because she cannot walk very far. 

I love to shop with coupons!  When I bought the Roomba yesterday I used a coupon that was in the Sunday paper for 20% off any one item.  Since the Roomba was about $300, I saved about $60, which is a lot of money (both to spend and to save!)  But I am thinking the purchase will be worth it because right now I am working three jobs and really could use the help with the house cleaning!

There is a great website that offers coupons and discount deals that I look at frequently to see if there is something that I should take advantage of before I go shopping.  The website is www.1-coupons.com.  I am going to need a new purse within the next few months so I will be checking that website for online deals for luggage, backpacks and handbags when I am ready to buy that.  I like to use backpacks as a purse, so I will have to look at several different locations to find exactly what I want. 

That website is a great resource for deals on flowers, ice jewelry, or lingerie, all of which make perfectly wonderful Mother’s Day gifts!  I have several people that I like to give presents to on Mother’s Day, so it is always a bonus if I can find coupons and discounts on the gifts that I buy!

Yesterday I went to Linens N Things and bought a new Roomba vacuum cleaner.  When I got home I was too tired to open it up; I plan to do that today!  I am looking forward to having a Roomba to vacuum my floors for me!  I’ve been tired of doing it myself for quite a while now!  I’ve had a Roomba before, and I liked it a lot.  This new one is supposed to be a better one than the one I had before, so I’m anxious to see how it does.
