My hubby was looking at my car a few days ago and declared that we need to take it to an auto body shop to have the roof repaired. He said that they were going to have to remove the windshield and cut away part of the roof due to rusting. He has done a lot of auto body work himself, and said he was not comfortable doing this himself; he wanted to let the experts handle this job. We’ll be looking for one of the Collision Repair Experts companies to do the work; we’ve heard that they are the best in the business.

On my way home from work I had a flat tire. I was glad it was on the way home from work, and not on the way TO work, as it would have made me late for work and the office has a pretty tough “tardy” policy. (Note to self - look for a new job, these people are not very nice!)
I was very glad that I have AAA insurance for just this kind of thing, I used my cell phone to call them and they sent a truck out with a guy to change my tire. I’m really glad my spare was good! So tomorrow I have to take my old tire to the tire shop and see if it can be repaired, or if I will need a new one. The guy who changed my tire seemed to think I was going to need a new one, and I suspect he’s right. If it isn’t one thing, it’s another! Money doesn’t seem to sit in my bank account very long!

I was reading on the Reuters.com website that researchers are working on a new material that converts heat into electricity. The hope is that using this material will help cars get more miles to the gallon. According to the article, only about 25% of the energy produced by a typical gasoline powered engine is used to move the vehicle, and the rest escapes through the exhaust pipe. The researchers are hoping that this new material will enable the car to recycle some of that escaped heat into energy that will power the car. That would be kind of cool!

There is a websitee that my sister told me about that I just checked out that sells motorcycle safety equipment. The business is run by motorcycle riders who know just important motorcycle safety is. I think that riders should always dres for the fall, not for the ride, so I was glad to learn about this site.
When I was looking at the site I saw that they sold moto rcycle safety clothing in a lot of different styles and sizes. They sell Shoei Modular Helmets and I saw that they sell red light changers. I had heard about them, but didn’t know that they were so cheap, and legal in all fifty states! Right now they are offering a great Nolan n102 helmets discount that I’m going to gell my hubby about because we’ve been talking about getting a spare helmet for his bike.

The economy worries me more than I’d like to admit. According to the news programs that I watch and the Internet news sites that I read, the ever increasing gasoline prices, the increasing food prices, the floods in Iowa are going to result in HIGHER food prices, the price of milk will be going up to $6.00 gallon soon and the higher unemployment rates all spell bad times ahead. We’re already in bad times; I hate to think of them getting much worse. I hope that when the Presidential election is over and done with the economy will recover.
